On May 2012, the 2nd International and 8th National Congress of the Family and Community Nursing Association (AEC Asociación Española de Enfermería Familiar y Comunitaria) was held in Barcelona.

Grupo Geyseco, as business agent of the AEC,  was in charge of the organization and development of this prestigious event.

Amongst other new developments, it was noticed the celebration of the 1st National Encounter of Tutors and Residents in the the Family and Community Nursing Speciality.

According to the President of the Organizing Committee, Miguel Ángel Díaz "The Congress has been a great success" . 400 people attended and this marks a milestone at the biennial Meeting of the AEC.

José Ramón Martínez Riera, mentioned his great satisfaction for the role taken by the Technical Secretariat, He also underlined the great expectation  that  the possibility of presenting free papers as Electronic Posters ,caused among the partcipants.

Dr. José Antonio Narváez, from the University Hospital of Bellvitge, confirms his trust on our company and he was entrusted us with the organization of the “Curso de Radiología de Tumores del Aparato Locomotor”, which will be held in the Meeting room of the Bellvitge Hospital. This Hospital is the reference center of the treatment of tumors, whose complexity could be considered as the Tumor Pathology Paradigm, which should be managed in a multidisciplinar way.

The 8th AMTU Meeting took place in Martorell, Barcelona on 14th March 2012.

Grupo Geyseco cooperated with the 8th AMTU Meeting (L'Agrupació de Municipis titulars de Transport Urbà de la 2ª Corona metropolitana de Barcelona -Group of  official townships of city transportation in the 2nd metropolitan area of Barcelona) . We worked together in the supply and coordination of  the INTERACTIVE VOTING SYSTEM, which boosted the sessions and was so well received by the participants.

 

During the past month of July, the Community Nursing Association (AEC) and the Valencian Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology (SVGG) signed an agreement that strengthens the ties between the two social and health institutions.

The agreement, which was signed in Geyseco’s Valencian Headquarters, will entail, among other objectives, a common project aimed at providing state-of-the-art education to nursing professionals in view of an improvement in the quality of life of the elderly.

During the month of May and the present month of June, Grupo Geyseco has organized a total of twelve meetings at cities such as Marbella, Alicante, Lerida, Valencia, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca.

  

   

Valencia Conference Centre, winner of the 2010 Apex Award for “World’s Best Convention Centre” thanks to the feedback of users and clients, has recently announced its management report for 2010.

From this report we would like to highlight that out of 34 congresses held in this Valencian venue and the almost 22,000 attendees that could enjoy its facilities, around 3,000 were managed by this firm, which translates into 13,6% of the total number of attendees that visited the Valencia Conference Centre last year.

National events as those held by the Spanish Society of Epidemiology, the Spanish Association of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, the Association for Advance and Research in MR, or international meetings like the Congress of the Federation of European Societies of Plant Biology and the International Symposium on Chromatography, have granted Geyseco the status of one of the most renowned PCOs in the tourism and meetings field.

The launch of the specialty of Family and Community Nursing in Spain opens up important prospects for this health Association which, in April 2011, has signed its partnership with Geyseco for the development and professionalization of its services to members, citizens, and matters related to education, among other steps.

We would like to thank Prof. Martínez Riera and all the AEC Executive Board for choosing to involve us in such a promising project.

After several months of preparation, Geyeco has finalised the new Web portal of the Spanish Society of Clinical Genetics and Dysmorphology (Sociedad Española de Genética Clínica y Dismorfología, SEGCD).

Through this new Website, the SEGCD aims to give a qualitative leap and enhance the display of rare diseases in Spain.

Professor Jorge Alió, a close friend of our firm, now occupies the first position in Spain within the field of  Ophthal-mology  in one of the most relevant classifications that measures scientific excellence: the h-index. This scale measures both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar, and is based on the set of the scientist’s most cited papers and the number of citations they have received in other people’s publications.

 

Once again, we would like to congratulate Prof. Alió for his regular and invaluable contribution to science and Ophthalmology.

Grupo Geyseco, in collaboration with Dr. José Manuel Morales, member of the Executive Board of the Spanish Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology in charge of the Official Webpage, has launched a new section of online lectures. From Geyseco R&D Department, we believe that the scientific and technological quality of this section will make it one of the most sought-after items, visited by radiologists, traumatologists, rheumatologists, and all those specialists interested in musculoskeletal diagnosis.
