During the month of March Grupo Geyseco has organised a total of eight medical events, which marks a record in terms of number, attendance and sponsors contracted during such a short period of time. Cities like Valencia, Barcelona, Alicante and Madrid have hosted these scientific meetings.

The promotion of quality medical education at every level was reflected in the organisation of Local events (Physical Medicine and Intensive Medicine), National events (MRI, Dental and Pediatric Radiology), and International events (Psychiatry, Ultrasounds and Diagnostic Imaging).

A special mention goes to the "XVI Symposium Internacional sobre Actualizaciones y Controversias en Psiquiatría" held in Barcelona, where almost one thousand attendees benefitted from new technologic systems provided by Grupo Geyseco for the realisation of quality meetings.

Last february the city of Valencia hosted the International Workshop on High Throughput Technologies for Alternative Splicing, chaired by Dr. D. Federico Pallardó.

A new record has been set for the number of submitted abstracts for the 2nd WORLD CONGRESS OF THORACIC IMAGING AND DIAGNOSIS IN CHEST DISEASE, to be held in Valencia Conference Centre from May 30th to June 2nd, 2009. This year sees an increase of 45% on the previous edition. Specialists from more than 30 countries have sent their scientific works, showing the interest that has built up around this important event. The Scientific Committee, in charge of the evaluation of the abstracts, has congratulated GRUPO GEYSECO for the efficient online system provided.

The Valencia Conference Center will host on March 30th, 2011 the XX Hispanic-Portuguese Congress on Hand Surgery.

The Local Organizing Committee of the event, chaired by Dr. Vicente Chover, has appointed Grupo Geyseco as Organizing Secretariat of the Congress of the Spanish Society of Hand Surgery.

On January, Grupo Geyseco signed an agreement with the Spanish Association of  Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy to  manage and develop this prestigious scientific society during the forthcoming three years.

Dr. Vilar, as chairman of the Orga-nizing Committee has recorded this promotional video to invite the faculty to participate at the “2nd World Congress of thoracic imaging and diagnosis in chest disease” to be held in Valencia (Spain) in 30th May 2009.

This worldwide Congress pretends to be a current multidisciplinary approach in chest diseases and thoracic imaging addressed to worldwide radiologists, allergologists, thoracic surgeons and pulmonologists

Grupo Geyseco hold its Winter Meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Valencia. Several lectures were given by the Board. Further to the presentation of the new chart, some of the speeches were devoted to the analysis of the current financial situation  in terms of Congress Organization and Management of Medical Societies, to the knowledge and specialization in Congress Organization.

The Spanish Society of Neuroradiology and Grupo Geyseco have signed an agreement for the management and development of the Society for the four forthcoming years.

More than 1.200 radiologists met from 2nd to 4th October at the Valencia Conference Center, venue of the  25th Meeting of the European Society of Magnetic Reso-nance in Medicine and Biology. The Opening Session was chaired  by Dr. Alfonso Bataller, M.D. as Regional Subsecretary of Health and Ms. Lourdes Bemal, Health Dept. Town Councillor of the City Hall.

On 27th and 28th October, the Spanish Society for the Abdominal Image Diagnosis (SEDIA) hold its 8th Congress  in Granada with a successfull parti-cipation record. For the first time, the Electronic Free Papers Presentation System were used. It was well received  by the participants and increased the  final number of  Papers submitted.
