At the latest edition of the III International Symposium on Therapeutics in Psychiatry, that was held on 15th October in Barcelona, we had the opportunity to enjoy the Opening Lecture of an exceptional Speaker: Prof Arvid Carlsson, the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2000. He was awarded by his discoveries about Dopamine.

He gave a lecture on: "Novel aspects of Dopamine - Receptor Pharmacology-Therapeutic implications".

This time, the promotional activities of the Congresses organized by Grupo Geyseco lead us to the Czech Republic and the beautiful city of Prague, where from 20th to 25th September, the World Congress of Psychiatry organized by the WPA (World Psychiatry Association) took place.  More than six thousand specialists in psychiatry worldwide , the major pharmaceutical companies and related editorials  participated.

The "Associació Catalana de Tècnics en Imatge per al Diagnòstic & Grupo Geyseco, has signed up a cooperation agreement for the next two years being Grupo Geyseco  its official  Secretariat . Among others, its goals are the development, improvement and optimi-zation of the Association resources. 

On July, Grupo Geyseco and the Valencian Society of Endocrinology, Nutrition and Diabetes, reached a cooperation agreement by means of which, as a Technical Secretariat, Grupo Geyseco will be in charge of the development increase and optimi-zation of the Association´s resources.

Dr. Carlos Sanchez, Dr. Eva Sola, Dr. Luis Arribas as president treausurer and vocal for the SVEDYN went to the Geyseco´s Valencia Branch for the signature of the agreement.

The participants at the XVI Congress of the Federation of the  European Societies of Plant Biology FESPB that was held on 17-21 August in Finland, welcome the forthcoming organi-zation of the next edition of the Congress in Valencia in 2010 chaired by Dr. Jose Pio Beltran.

The Valencian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has entrusted Grupo Geyseco  the organization and management of its next Congress. The XVIII Congress of the Valencian Society of Physical  Medicine and Rehabilitation will be held on 5th and 6th March 2009 in Alicante, at the  imcomparable setting of Spa Porta Maris Hotel.

On Saturday, 27th June, at the General Assembly of the 20th International Congress on Thrombosis that was held at the Hilton Hotel in Athens, Greece, Grupo Geyseco was officially appointed Technical Secretariat and Official P.C.O. for the management and development of the MLTD and its Foundation for 6 years.

At the XVI Annual Congress of the Euro-pean Society of Thoracic Image, ESTI (May 31-June 1) held in the city of Nice, France, the 2nd World Congress of Thoracic Imaging and Diagnosis in Chest Disease, 2WCTI (Valencia, 30 May-June 2) was presented. Many attendees were interested in this important event in 2009 that will meet the congresses of 5 major Societies of these medical especialities

Following the success of the 1st International Meeting "Moe-bius Syndrome" held last May, relevant figures in the research of the disease as Dr. Zuker, worked on the first data from  the research study done. The high scientific  level lectures are available to those interested, both affected and specialists  at the Meeting  website. 

Last May the 1st International Meeting “Sindrome de Moebius” was hold under the auspices of the Neonatology Service of La Fe Hospital & The Moebius Syndrome Spanish Foundation.

Multidisciplinary meeting, for pediatricians, neurolo-gists, general practicioners, psychologists, ophthal-mologists and a wide range of specialists, that met with the affected people on 16th and 17th at the Expo Hotel in Valencia.
